I watched the entire game and thoroughly enjoyed it. I need to drive to BR and catch a couple of games in person.
Fowles is going to be very good. Seimone is, well, Seimone, and Temeka Johnson is awesome.

    Temeka was incredible.

Temeka was in charge tonight. I figured that she would have the speed advantage over Schonrock but really it didn't matter, she who was on her. She was money.

Seimone was her ususal self and Minnesota had no answers. Sylvia had a great game also and she learned some things from McCarville who may be the best post player in the game.

I think McCarvelle learned a little from Fowles too. All of her dominance was against Willis. McCarvelle is a hell of a talent though. I'd take her for my team.

I'm an SMS fan and the Lady Tigers will be playing us here in Springfield Mo. We realize we're the underbear, even at home, but still looking forward to seeing some good basketball. One thing we will offer is a packed house 8500+. Any thoughts on the game? My guess Lady Bears by 6.

I really need to start reading this particular forum more often. Johnson is very very talented and has been one of the most consistently good players ever for LSU. Talk about taking over and dominating a game against a top notch opponent.

Need to go see these women play in person too.. If I can stand to go to ten or so LSU men's basketball home games and "survive" through those, then I certainly can survive through a few LSU women's basketball home games. :)

Sfan, Just seeing if anyone was awake . Do I really think SMS will win Saturdays game? On a percentage guess, maybe LSU 60%, SMS 40%. SMS will have to play at the top of their game but I do believe it is possible. LSU is a great team and deserving of a #22 ranking......just kidding a #1 ranking. Augusta and Johnson what can you say, they are both outstanding. Fowles is good but a freshman and it'll depends on how she will handle the pressure. We certainly won't pressure Johnson much or we'll get burned on transition. We are happy to be hosting a #1 ranked team and I guarentee the Lady Tigers a warm reception.

Your team put up a tussle but when the going got tough, LSU took it inside and put it away. I was very impressed with freshmen Thomas and Chandler (?). You've got to admit that the refs got a little one sided there for a while. It's as though they were caught up in the frenzy and wanted to help SMS's comeback. Fowles was getting shaq-a-tacked in the middle and no calls. We were getting whistled on tick tack touches. On one rebound, Fowles was in front of an SMS player and got called for over the back. LSU is not a real good outside shooting team but a lot of womens' teams are and your bearettes are going to get killed with that 3-2 zone. Better mix a little (wo)man to (wo)man in there.

LSU hit 5 for 11 today from downtown including Chaney's shot that instantly wiped out SMS lead and Temeka hit a big one from deep. The zone, combined with Temeka's foul trouble really slowed down LSU but they were able to shoot over it and exert their strength at the end.
