good work......... i'll have my odds out in a lil while...... along with this weeks powerball #'s
i guess we're supposed to charge those bizzles then pay it off after we win the tourney? noice. mark me down for 3 bills.
I don't know much about these Vegas odds or betting or anything, but what do they look at? Is it just the team records, because seriously, some of these teams have a worst shot than LSU does. I'm not being sarcastic, I really would like to know.
no it has little to nothing comparatively one team better than another. they look at likely potential matchups for each regional. so when it lists cinci or pitt @ better odds than LSU @ 75:1 it by no means equates that those teams are better. just better matchups statistically with their potential opponents.
these odds closely correlate with historical seedings with a few exceptions for teams with recent NCAA success (i.e., Pitt, a 9 seed has better odds than LSU) or coaching edges (i.e., TT has better odds than LSU) . since the NCAA went to a 64 team bracket, the 1988 Kansas team is the only sixth seed to win it all. I think Villanova was an 8 seed when it went on its improbable run in the mid 80's.
