Seriously though can you blame them? UWV has 1 loss and beat the team that handed it to you. Really, not trying to stir the pot...Just trying to see your point...
i was gonna add that this is nothing to detract from WVA or say they arent deserving just that if anyone would rank us lower it would be the AP. i forgot gumps posted here so Ill try to be more clear from now on.
#5 and #6... ill take it... alot of people will complain and say that we should have done better... I'm gonna be one of those people who say that at least its not 10 years ago when we had to be happy with (if we were lucky) a top 25 spot...
I am happy with it. Two losses at number 5? That's great. I was hoping they would crack the top 5 and they did with one poll. The highest we could have gone was 4, but I can't blame the voters for giving OSU the nod over us at the 4 spot. OSU had a good year and lost to some tough teams, including Texas in Columbus. the fact we got the 5 over WVU probably speaks to how highly our program is generally seen nationwide now. WVU probably has a better claim to 5 than we do, but we'll just have to live with the split on that one. :thumb:
