    Avg: 92,212 for 2006

    Toaal for year: 737,696

Both new records and LSU has broken the record 4 straight years. Pretty impressive considereing our schedule at home.

LSU’s top home crowd in 2006 came against Alabama when 92,588 fans turned out to see the Tigers post a 28-14 win over the Crimson Tide. The 92,588 figure ranks as the second-highest total in school history, trailing the 92,664 fans for the Auburn game in 2005.

In all, LSU had five of the top 10 Tiger Stadium crowds of all time in 2006, which included 92,449 against Ole Miss and 92,362 against Louisiana-Lafayette, which also ranked as the largest season-opening turnout in school history.

I went to the Fresno St. game, the one with forty eleven inches of rain right before it, and the crowd was, understandably, slim. Throw that game out, and it would've been even more impressive. (The average)

Does anyone know how those numbers compare to each school's stadium capacity? I'll give LSU this, their average has got to be just about at capacity. If they could fit more in, they would.
I know the top four have big stadiums, but I don't know the actual capacity of each.

Every stadium ahead of ours is larger. Georgia is very close to us in size, obviously. If we added another 5,000 seats, I bet our average would go up about 4,800.

I remember seeing those numbers before. The SEC was #1 in stadium capacity, and i think the pac ten was near the bottom. USC's stadium is bigger than ours but they still don't fill it. Miami has got to be the worst case, all the bandwagoners there have jumped off. Their last home game against BC they had like 25,000 ppl in the stands....and this was in the orange bowl.

And of course it's no surprise that half of the top 10 are SEC schools.

Don't know how to posts these kinds of rankings with columns, but LSU ranks 21st in Accumulated capacity % at 99.80.
