After I started attending UNC, I was amazed that I could go ANYWHERE (including Europe) and see folks in Carolina blue jerseys, hats, etc.
Notice that only includes schools whose licenses are managed by CLC. I have no idea how many schools they manage, but it is possible USC and Florida, among others, could have a different managing company.
I wonder who picks what numbers will be available. The easiest number to find this past year was Vincent's. Also available was Russell. No Addai or Broussard.
Where is Miami and Florida State? The three schools I see most amongst my peers (beside LSU of course,) are UNC, FSU, and Miami. I remember just back in my high school days, about 4 or 5 years ago, LSU wouldn't even have been amongst the top 5 with kids at my school--or the general public for that matter. It kinda pisses me off that people are so quick to support them and flaunt the gear now that they're successful (not that they WEREN'T in the past.) Oh well, it's good for publicity I guess. It just annoys me to NO END how someone can wear an LSU shirt and hat on national signing day, and when I ask them what they thought about LSU picking up RP, they look at me like I'm crazy! "Ryan WHO!?" Actually, I can understand someone not knowing about the recruits, (even if they are the #1 player,) but what REALLY, SERIOUSLY gets me is when I see a comparable person and they: A) Don't know who LSU played last night in football or B) Can't even name ONE person from the team... Oh well, I'll stop ranting now
Agree with you on Georgia....go figure. As for USC.....no surprise. Their colors, uniforms, etc. are ugly. And, they never seem to change anything. The only difference I see at USC in the last 40 years is that they've changed shoe color from the OJ days. For the youngsters, they all wore black then. Now, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with tradition, but when it's ugly, well, it's ugly.
I don't believe it has anything to do with USC's colors, I've seen a ton of FSU stuff with the same colors. I think USC not being in the top is due to a few factors: 1. They are a small private university without a lot of alumni. 2. They are located in Cal. where pro sports are much bigger and most of the fans wear either Lakers or Raiders stuff. 3. The MW, NE and SE are where most of these "colors" are bought.
You're right. I looked at their page which reports 16,000+ undergrads which when compared to the big public schools is sorta small. I figured it was probably 2 or 3 times that. It's not even 9am and I've already learned something. Now I can go watch "Modern Marvels" and not worry if I doze off.
