Our rivalry right now is ever other team in NCAA football. Everyone hates LSU at this moment. That's just part of the package of being National Champions. No matter who we play, our opponent will show up with their A game and play the toughest game of the year. This year will be a true test of talent. As for Auburn, I guarantee you they hate us more than Bama or any other team. Living an hour or so south of Auburn, I can feel it in the air. I feel the way people look at me with LSU stickers on my truck. I felt it last year before the season, but right now, it's utmost evident of true hatred. Auburn doesn't want LSU to look stupid, they don't want to dominate us in Jordan Hare this year, they absolutely want to KILL us. Sure Georgia wants another rematch, and they'll get one, but it's nothing like Auburn. I work with Auburn fans, and don't get me wrong, they are true friends, however, since I'm an LSU fan, there's just something missing. Flags are starting to fly here in Dothan with colors of Orange and Blue. Here and there I can already hear people mentioning LSU coming to Jordan Hare. They think they got us. Right now, Auburn is our worst enemy.
I'd have to say lefire: and AU. This year the lefire: rivalry wont be as big since Eli isn't there, but it's still goin to be big. I always look forward to wooping AU's A$$ since I live in a place where I am surrounded by AU fans. Also, when AU beat us and the players started smoking the cigars in the middle of the field....that started somethin there, nothing made us more pissed than that.:angryfire BUT Give it a couple more years and the LSU-UGA rivalry will heat up. Being as both of us are national power houses and being able to meet eachother in the SECCG will just make it a better rivalry.
Dude, I find it hard to believe that Auburn hates us more than bama. I have friends at both places and from what I hear from them is that they hate each other the most.
You are up in big ten country. You can't tell me that Ohio State/Michigan Feud is bad for both teams. I mean it pushes each school to be better. Tressel was hired to beat Michigan and he did and he gave OSU an undisputed national championship. Minnesota and Wisconsin hate each other, Michigan and Michigan State hate each other Florida and FSU hate each other and pushes programs to try to better especially when your rival is winning national championships and playing in bowl games. One of the reasons Nick left MSU was that he felt the pressure to compete against Michigan was too great. Well, trying to be better than the program with the most wins in the history of college football is a worthy goal. Little big ten history lesson here. Minnesota has six national championships, the last in 1960. Michigan State has two national championships as many as LSU the last in 1965. Now Minnesota has a rivalry game with Michigan--the little brown jug--it's an important game for both schools. If Minny was real good it would be up there with UM/OSU, UM/ND, and UM/MSU. Having blood fued rivals always pushes you to be better, especially if your blood feud rival has won recent national championships and plays in a lot of Jan. 1 bowl games.
