These past couple of months of LSU basketball have been simply a joy to follow and watch. Seeing this young team grow and mature throughout the course of the season has been simplay amazing. To think back on the past few weeks and the run LSU is on, I have to pinch myself in disbelief!

Today's game, LSU did a LOT of good things and really took it to the #4 team in the nation for 40 minutes and then some! I sat and watched Kentucky fan with heads in palms, heads in laps, arms clutched around the backs of their heads, looks of disgust on their faces...... All of these emotions while playing MY LSU TIGERS! Sure, they got the last laugh TODAY but Kentucky fan and college basketball fan around the nation now know more than ever that:

LSU IS HERE TO PLAY AND WIN!

I am hoping LSU can pull a 6 seed in the tourney. Going into this game I figured that the only way LSU could possibly improve their stock was to win, and that a loss would not hurt. Well, they may have actually improved with this loss. Where do all of you see LSU being seeded and for that matter, which regional?

    WOW! Geaux Tigers!

I am hoping for a 5 seed after we dismantled Auburn, and hung so close with UK. But if not a 5 no way lower than a 6.

I've never been more proud of a team in a losing effort. Not many people, including me, thought we had a realistic chance of beating UK today. They played a wonderful game. Made a few mistakes at the end that cost us, but it was a great game and great effort.

I'm thinking 5/6 seed. Let's hope our play and effort carries over to the NCAA tourney!

i dont like to admit that some games do not matter much, but this is one of them.

go home, get some rest, eat a couple cheesburgers, take a couple naps, then come out ready for the dance. i am fine with how the game went today, and i am even more optimistic we can do damage in the tournament. we can play with anybody, and we dont get let down against inferior teams. we look great.

Something does need to be done to rein Tack Minor in, though. The kid's liabilities are really starting to outweigh his assets. Maybe go w/ 2 guards, and start Neltner. I'm not sure that given a chance, Neltner would be a whole lot worse than Brian Beshaara was in 1999-2000.

Man Grad, I agree with you. The Tigers right now are flat out awesome. I know they lost, but winning 7 out of the last 8, beating Florida, MSST, and Bama during that run. These guys are simply a joy to watch. There were times in that game where LSU could have died. One prime example was when Kentucky streteched it to 60-52. The Tigers could have simpy rolled over and said we gave it all we had and it just wasnt in the cards. But, those boys went out there, rallied and were able to force over time. Great clutch shooting by Mitchell late to keep the Tigers afloat. Man, when Bass's shot went in, I was thinkin, "man the Tigers are destined to win". Of course that didnt play out.

Tack,Tack,Tack. You cant get mad at him b/c the dude plays so damn hard for you night in and night out. It woulda been nice had he found a better shot then that, but he played his arse off all game and made some big plays when needed. It's unfortunate the Baby couldnt atleast get one free throw to go down late.

I dont think the lack of depth really hurt the Tigers today. They were playing for a purpose today. I dont think the lack of depth hurt the Tigers so much as the neverending bench of Kentucky helped them. I dont think there is any other team in America that can sub in 5 different guys and not lose a beat. Illinois only goes 8 deep with the 3 bench guys only contributing about 2-3 points. Duke only goes about 8 deep. Same for UNC. I think that one thing though that helps these teams is the fact that they seem to have a lot of body's that supply guys with a minute or two of rest. But these guys are hardly major contributors. Plus, LSU can go 8 deep if they choose to use Lazare. This has been a fun ride. I think LSU has locked up a 5 or 6 seed in the tourney. They should be in good shape with that one. Losing this one to a potential number 1 seed isnt the worst thing that could happen. I'm not going into the tourney with lofty expectations. I know that there are many teams as good or better then LSU. I'm not going in saying that if LSU doesnt when the whole thing that this season was waste. I can forsee LSU as a Sweet 16 team. I'd like to see them continue to play good ball in the dance and give some people hell. Thanks for a great season of Bball Tigers.

You all hit the nail on the head! Given a true neutral court, we beat UK, and given the right draw, we can go Sweet 16 or Elite 8, because this team is SO similar to the last Sweet 16 team!

This is the kinda basketball that those of us who have gone to the PMAC have seen on a regular basis in the last 2 months or so. This team has a lot of character. I have to say this. It's obvious that JB is much much more toned down and understanding. Well, towards the players atleast. He's gone with a softer approach to these guys. He's def not the in your face coach of the past. Thats helped a lot of these guys. But, after seeing him go nuts on the AU official, we see he still has that fire that I think all coaches need.

I thought with all of the scoring that Azubuike was doing that we should have put him in the place of Hud in the 4th quarter and OT to guard Kelenna.

I really am happy for these Tigers for their performance.
