I thought Tyrus Thomas was the most impressive of the incoming freshman. Ben Voogd had a lot of work to do to be a starting sec point guard but he had flashes of brilliance.. Quick passes while cutting into the lane, he had a very nice reverse layup, dare I say Jordan-esque style, under the basket in traffic. As I said though, he needs a lot of work. He threw the ball right to the other team and turned it over a few times. Tasmin Mitchell started off badly, taking poor shots, but played well as the game progressed. I saw some quick bursts of speed wiith the ball from him at times. He will be fun to watch develop. Magnum Rolle saw significant playing time but did not appear to contribute very much. He was playing mostly inside and if he continues to, he needs to bulk up a bit. Davis is the workhorse and will have to carry this team on his back. Darrel Mitchell had a nice steady game. I'd be comfortable with him running point for *parts* of the game, just not all. He's so good taking the open shot upon receiving a pass. Oh, and that Davis Fleshman makes the crowd reupt with enthusiasm when he gets into the game. Oh, and I wanted to type one long paragraph just for fun. :bball: :geauxtige
About as good as can be expected from a bunch of freshmen in the first game of the season. In response to the question about Minor....he is suspended until January for some sort of acedemic infraction. From what I am told, he could have been expelled.
You would have thought that Brady would be playing Kentrell a lot more seeing that he felt he was worthy of a scholarship and is a junior. The guy got as much PT as Alex Farrer.
