There is no way in heck Floyd would leave L.A. It makes no sense. He gets just as many Louisiana players as Brady did the past few years. The conference is better, the weather is better, etc... Plus, the biggest and best factor: the coach we have now is better.
Guess I put it in a bad place but it's bhelm's dang fault I was ridin his coattail. :hihi: http://69.93.172.10/~tigerfor/showthread.php?p=754315#post754315
i tend to agree, but he may love gumbo he may hate traffic he may prefer to not work in the 'hood he may like to hunt and fish isnt his mother's maiden name Pitre? he may hate fake boobs he may not like playing 2nd fiddle to UCLA he may prefer to dominate (SECW, that is)
About 3 years too late, he really has things going at USC and will be hard to pull away. He was there for the taking when the NBA dumped him and LSU would have been the logical place and a really good fit. I hope we can land him but I think he is a long shot.
There really is no argument. I agree 100%. He won at an 11-7 clip at USC this year in the PAC-10 Butch won at a 10-8 clip (5-4 times 2), so those are a wash. Floyd recruits well, but Los Angeles v. Baton Rouge is no argument. Floyd would cost a ton more and would be only slightly better, if better at all.
Got to be a long shot, at best. Realisticly, I don't see him as a legitimate canidate. Reminds me of some of the unrealistic names floating around when we were thinking we were going to have to hunt a football coach. Strange things can happen, but why would he leave USC and come here?
