1. Am I the ONLY one that's SHOCKED that not one LSU player was voted into the Walter Camp All-American team???? WTF???? I'm thinking about never watching ESP F'ing N again.
    :crystal:
  2. Are you surprised? The year we won the National Championship, Oklahoma got all the individual awards. Miles must be a hell of a coach to win with no All-Americans. Let them have the All-Americans. We'll take the victories!
  3. Ditto.

  4. It's ESPN... You kind of answered your own question there. Standout players on a team like Rutgers or some such "lesser" team will stick out more and ESPN is more likely to spread the love to some of those teams, i think. If Ali Highsmith were an LB on Louisville, he'd have tons of tackles and all the media attention b/c the rest of the D sucks and would probably have made the team. I'm not worried about ESPN, they've been irrelevent to me for quite some time.
  5. ESPN = stupid - nugh said. Our players are good, they're starting in the NFL...just like what good ol' Troy Aikman said on TV, LSU is a factory for producing NFL players, esp. defense players - or something like that. That was a great sound bite for our program.:)
  6. I dont know what they hell they were thinking. Dorsey and Landry should have been on the team. They usually go for the more known schools. Its more of a political awards show.
  7. Just one more reason for our guys to prove their worth in the Sugar Bowl. But in the big scheme of things, who gives a damn? The NFL could care less about awards if the players don't pan out. Look at Mike Hass. He won the Biletnikoff Award, fell all the way to the later rounds of the draft, and was then a Training Camp cut.

Postseason awards mean absolutely d*ck in the big scheme of things.
  8. Well there needs to be a sports network that is basis to the SEC, ESPN is Big 10,ACC,Big East, and PAC 10, Fox is all over the Big 12.

    Lets go with SSS

    Southern States Sports!
  9. Fox has all those separate sport stations. Why can't they band them together and form a legit "ESPN killer" network? Seems like the foundation is there, just need someone at Fox with balls to pull the trigger.
  10. Houston Nutt might be able to lend a hand.
