Has the football team ever worn white pants, either as a one game thing or longer at any point in the last 35 yrs? I brought a Horns fan to the game last week and he was positive they have (he thought for an extended period of time) although I was pretty sure they haven't. I'm hoping I'm right about this (side bet involved) but someone else told me they recalled white pants also. I remember Dinardo trying out all of his crazy stuff with the purple pants (lost at Kentucky), white helmet (Indy Bowl vs. ND?), gold jerseys, etc. To me, there's no better uniform than the classic white jerseys and gold pants.
Actually, I should've been a little more clear. He said they've worn all white (white jersey, white pants) like the Horns do. I couldn't remember LSU ever having all white.
I liked the gold jersey's with white pants... I like the classic uni's more, but as a little change of pace, I like em a lot... more than the purple jerseys especially
Never all white, at least not in the modern era. Dinardo had us in white pants a couple of time. Once he had us in purple pants. Just Once. They had no stripes and looked like leotards. They were horrible, loudly criticized, and it ended further experiments on uniforms.
you put the purple and gold shoulder stripes on those jerseys, and purple and gold stripes and you've got a winner for a change of pace uni
