    many establishments run out of booze when LSU visits for an away game. seen it many times. even in tuscaloosa. used to happen in omaha but they learned after years of abuse.


    not sure about an entire city, however.

    My mom told me a few years ago that Wayne Toups and a few others do this yearly cruise thing and that they drank the cruise ship out of booze. Not sure if it is urban legend or not but I could believe it.

    I must have seriously lost my "game" in this area because the thought of drinking (excessively or otherwise) prior to 11 a.m. (or noon, but who are we kidding--it's 11) makes me kinda queasy.

    yes you have lost your game. When Im out of town or on vacation, the first thing I order with breakfast is a belvedere or ketel one with grapefruit juice.

    Not sure if this is true, but wouldn't doubt it - but I think I read somewhere that Mountaineer Stadium was stocked for the entire year and they also quit serving at halftime, so LSU fans drank nearly 3 months worth of alcohol (it was 4th game of the season) in one half.
