Just got back from the Bahamas (way cooler than the redneck riviera) and I sported my LSU hat every day I was there. I met people from all over the country eager to talk LSU football(most of which were from up north).
They all seemed genuinely curious about what it was like on gameday, the tailgating, etc.
All agreed that Saban is the man and our fans are crazy, in a good way. The only school represented by more than one person? LSU, of course. One day there were 4 of us in the pool with LSU hats on, and this place is not like Destin or Orange Beach where everybody is from Louisiana and the South.90-95% of these folks were yankees or European. I did meet one USC fan and he admited that our D would have held them to a td or less.
It was nice going out of the country and having people talk about LSU in such high regard. It made me damn proud to be a Tiger

Well I aint in the islands BUT

The La N.G. has been training up here at Ft Hood texas for the past month. Well let me tell you we were talking over the club scene. EVERYWHERE you would turn you would see LSU shirts, hats, flags it was great. You know being that we are in BIG 12 country. I was kind of sad to see them go.

I was at a Houston Astros game in late May and I had my LSU hat and national champion shirt. About 5 people or so came up to my seat to shake my hand and talk a little about LSU football. It was real cool.

This summer everywhere I went people were wearing more LSU stuff than I had ever seen before. Some might be bandwagoners, but hey its great to get this kind of attention throughout the country.

I am stuck in Delaware right now. The other day I was coming home from the gym when I keep hearing this car horn going off. I turn my head and there is this couple next to me going crazy flashing an LSU hat. I realized that he saw my Louisana plates and was as happy as I was to see a tiger fan in this craphole.

Same thing happened to me over this past month. The first week I was in New York, the second in Washington, D.C., and the last two in San Francisco. Everywhere I was, I was a billboard for the purple and gold. I wasn't alone though, in any of these places! It's amazing how many fans we have spread out across the nation. People just seemed to love to talk LSU football...asking what we're expecting this year, and most, talking about our defense. While in D.C., I did meet up with a few Virginia Tech fans. Needless to say, we had quite a few interesting discussions.

Did see a few Georgia fans there also. They weren't too eager to talk about the dawg though. One did say Pollacks motor was always running :dis: , I almost puked!

I was in Oklahoma two weeks ago visiting my father in law and some of his co-workers are huge sooner fans. One the guys told me that we got lucky last year. I told him, "Yea, we got lucky 13 times last year"
