Looks the game will still get pelted with rain and wind. It looks like Ike took a northern step and the feeder storms will come up close to BR. http://hurricane.accuweather.com/hu...m=1&type=EI&large=1&basin=atlantic®ion=GUL Sure wish I could see the game.
Apparently NOLA is getting some of Ike's rain and wind right now. Looks like it will get to Baton Rouge later today. Hopefully Ike will pick up some speed and be outta here before kickoff.
not worried about rain, we've done rain before. wind is the problem. anyone know what the projected winds are gonna be? someone at work said they heard 40 mph but best projection i can find on weather.com is 25mph.
Someone posted this link in the Gustav thread (sorry I couldn't find the post again to give credit where due). At first I thought it was just a color cone of error map, but it is much more. In the top right hand corner is a box with several options that you can turn on and off. If you turn the wind forecast option on, the map will display little bar graphs over all of the major cities. Click on the one over BR and a chart will open w/ the probabilities for various wind speeds at 12 hour intervals for the next 5 days. Hope it is helpful! :geaux:
Once every hundred or so posts I provide something useful. Glad you like that site. :thumb: ... or is it every thousand posts? hmmmm
Yep. Looks like all the expensive stuff is going to have to stay at home this Saturday. Just a few tents and the Ice chest radio to jam out with. On the positive side.. a wet and wild bikini party at Level 3. :thumb:
The more I played w/ it the cooler it got. Kinda fun checking wave heights at the sea buoys and such.
