From what i understand....Fleming, Foster, and Jenkins will be gray shirted (i believe this is basically preferred walk on status??)
Preferred walk ons can take part in the preseason practices. Regular walk ons cannot. There's 105 man roster that takes part in preseason practices, but only 85 (83) scholly players.
my understanding is preferred walk-on is an invited walk on, so can begin practicing with the team earlier than regular walk on's. foster will be one of them, as i read elsewhere krag was impressed with the kid. that if he does, he will be passing up a scholly elsewhere to be in purple and gold. i didnt know there would be another. i only knew about foster. eta: fish beat me to it. also, a preferred walk on can begin practice in fall camp this year whereas a greyshirt has to wait a semester.
