LSU lands three on first teamAssociated press BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Eight LSU players were named to the 2005 Southeastern Conference Coaches Preseason All-Conference football team, the conference announced Wednesday. Andrew Whitworth, LaRon Landry and Skyler Green led the list of Tigers selected to the All-SEC first team. Whitworth, a senior offensive tackle, started all 12 games last season and enters 2005 with 39 straight starts. Landry, a junior safety, led LSU in tackles with 92 last season and collected a team-best four interceptions. Green, a senior wide receiver, was a first-team special teams member as a return specialist. In 2004, Green totaled 492 return yards combined on kickoffs and punts, including one punt return for a touchdown. READ MORE
