That's the thing about stats themselves: they alone do not tell the true story.

    LSU won by 4.

    USC won by *46*.

Of the two, who do you think played their starters for the entire game, played them hard because the game demanded they do so, and who do you think likely yanked starters by the 3rd at the latest, then played with no sense of urgency b/c they were up by 30 or more the entire second half?

It appeared to me that USC got lit up early by Hawaii's pasing game then settled down late.

    Statistics are like a bikini.

What they reveal is interesting -

but what they conceal is vital. ;)

Point taken, but USC gave up far fewer points. Also, LSU dominated on the ground, and especially dominated in time of posession, in the first half.

Meaning? Meaning they sucked up large chunks of time...and still ASU racked up the yards although they had the ball for a smaller portion of the game.

I dunno. I mean, I don't care enough to delve deeply into the stats, but it's insincere and misleading to compare the way the USC-Hawaii game went and the way the LSU-ASU game went and call stats from that game an apple to apple comparison.

    I wish.

    I'm not THAT witty.

PS: Did you know that 98% of all statistics are made up?
