I picked the Tigahs! But in all fairness, I just want to see a good, clean game. No turnovers, minimal penalties--no penalties on 3rd down conversions or scoring plays. I have a feeling with Flynn making his first start, and Miami's defense what it is, that's got to be a big advantage for Miami. IMO, Flynn needs to play near flawless. He doesn't have to win the game all by himself, but he can't turn the ball over and he needs to be smart with the football--make the right reads even if it means checking down to the flats and going with a safe "dump" pass. Defensively, we need to keep Miami from converting big plays. Miami has a lot of offensive speed (as do we) but they'll be more comfortable stretching the defense because they're starting QB isn't hurt and he's not making his first start. Force Wright to make decisions--something that he is criticized for not doing too well...Just keep him from dropping back and heaving the ball downfield to open receivers or for big gains--make him work hard for everything. Miami's starting RB is gone for the season, so I look for them to use reverses or trick plays in the running game, so our front 7 have got to be on their toes. Reguardless of Flynn's talents, we're at a disadvantage due to this being his first start. If we're to see an LSU! victory, I feel that it'll definately NOT be by more than 10 (but probably by a FG or something like 24-20). If we are to lose this game, I just want to see a good performance by our guys. IF we play a good game--no turnovers, etc. and simply come out on the short end of a close game, then so be it. May the best team win. ...but if Flynn throws INT's, and we keep shooting ourselves in the foot with penalties then we could be in for a bit of a butt kicking.
I picked the Tigers to win by more than ten You gotta believe in something, so why not believe big? :helmet: :helmet: :helmet: :helmet: :helmet:
