Why is it lesser renowned QBs can come in to other systems and excell as true freshmen when our supposedly top of the line qb's struggle so long before they can perform at a high level? Is it that Jimbo Fisher's offense is that hard to master? Craig Nall, Josh Booty, and even Rohan Davey struggled quite a bit before they caught on. Nall transferred and some would say that Booty never did get it. All 3 of these QBs were highly rated and all 3 made NFL rosters. Matt Maulk did well with the offense once he learned it but it turns out he is a good enough talent to make a NFL team as well. Now we have J. Russell who is supposed to be the top QB coming out of high school, in the system for 2 years, and still struggling to master this offense. Maybe the offense needs to be simplified a little so he doesn't have so much to think about and let his natural athleticism take over.

Call me crazy, but I don't think that's what Randy's talking about FightinTiger. Randy is talking about Jamarcus Russell being so highly recruited, yet not being able to put it together on the field. However, you gotta see it this way too - since Saban got here, hasn't he had a new QB at the beginning of every season? None of those guys were the starter the whole year for more than one year... right? I think we all hope that Jamarcus Russell can put things together in the off season, because if he does - next year will be awesome... with Tennesse, Auburn & Georgia at home. With both Georgia & Auburn's senior QB's graduating, they won't be the same teams they are this year.

We dont play UGA next year, we are done with them. UT rolls in, however I agree next year will be fun. Of course this year has been great as well. 7-2, and winning more

Next year would be great to look forward too, if there was at least some sign of improvement. I hate to say it, but damn the QB's appear to be getting worse. :(

I don't believe that Russell was rated the top quarterback out of HS. Leak at Florida got that honor. Russell was rated as the QB with the most potential. He, like Perrileoux, are projects with worlds of potential.

Well obviously the projections didn't project. we need to run an ad in the Advocate.

QB wanted. Decent Arm, pays attention to film, coachable. Ability to see nose in front of face is a plus.

    reference, Matt Mauck

Please no Alabammer HS stand outs need apply.
