Stating the obvious, but this will make the difference from LSU being a very good team to being a national title contender. What if LSU was +5 against Flordia instead of -5? We would have beat Florida by 35+. If we can fix this obvious flaw we have a chance to be a great team. Turnover Margin rank USC 17 Texas 45 V Tech 2 Georgia 5 Bama 35 Miami 55 LSU 109
Yep, we need to hold onto the ball and and make fewer mistakes. I was disappointed for the first time in the passes JR threw this game, the one that was intercepted on the supposed throw away and the other where he was out of bounds before the throw. That's the kind of plays he needs to avoid.
Watching the replay last night the INT he threw when he was on the run trying to throw it way he had his arm hit in the process of getting rid of the ball.
I just watched the game that I dvred. We should have been up 28-7 at the half. Two many damm turnovers.
I honestly think that we could have shut them out had it not been for TO's. UF scored not one point that wasn't a result of a TO.
I didn't realize that at OSU, Miles was great at ball protection... OSU was #2 behind USC last year in turnover ratio... So let's hope his system catches on eventually, and I suspect it will
The turnovers were horrible but it was nice to hear Miles a little pissed off on the radio after the game talking about fixing the turnover problem. He was even threatening to bench our quality players if these mistakes continue. I think he'll get the message across this week and we will see it on Saturday.
Also remember that we had 2 dropped INTs. No telling what would have played out after that. Probably some quick-strike points.
