LSU wins the last three. Auburn loses to either Georgia or Alabama. Tennessee beats Arkansas. Three way tie. What breaks the tie? Chances are slim and they go out the window if Arkansas beats Tennessee.
Maybe UGA or Bama will have a "salvage the season" kind of mentality and step up and put it on Auburn. Tenn plays Ark in Fayetville...maybe this weekends loss will have them good and pissed off for the Hogs. Yeah...chances are slim that things will fall into place now that I look at it.:nope:
This has already been bandied about on several other threads. Auburn's loss must come against Alabama, if they are to only lose once.
South Carolina nearly put the hurt to Arkansas so I think they are beatable. As for Georgia or Bama vs Auburn. Those two teams seem to have sunk to new lows although rivalries can be a good motivator. Auburn can also be an up and down team. Who knows.
For now anyway, not looking good but we need to win out and take care of our part in case the opportunity does present itself. :thumb:
This was covered in another thread, but here goes. LSU must win out. If Arkansas loses to Mississippi State and Auburn loses to AMAB, LSU goes because they will have a 4-1 division record and the other 2 will have a 3-2 division record. If Arkansas loses to Tennessee and Auburn loses to AMAB, LSU goes because they will share a 4-1 division record with Arkansas, but Auburn will have a 3-2 record and will be knocked out, giving LSU the division due to winning the head to head vs Arkansas. If Arkansas loses to Tennessee and Auburn loses to UGA, Auburn goes because the division records will be the same, leaving the BCS ranking in the picture. If the 2 teams with the higher BCS rankings are within 5 places of each other, the winner of the game between the two wins the division. Under this scenario, Arkansas would be the lowest ranked of the three, but LSU would not be 5 spaces ahead of Auburn, since we are several places behind them now. If Arkansas loses to Tennessee and MSU and Auburn loses to AMAB or UGA, Auburn goes because they win a 2 way tie with LSU. We need Arkansas to lose 1 and only 1, and for Auburn to lose to AMAB. Alabama's real bowl game is the Iron Bowl......so they wanna beat Auburn in the worst way. Auburn is a marginally good team at this point....very beatable.
Also, we need it to be a three-way tie right? I was watching that Arky/SC game last night and wanting Arky to win. Because I believe that UT will beat Arky next week. A three loss Arky team would do us no good because we'd lose a two-way tie with the Aubies.
