2010 I like it because it would be before Bama after Auburn. 2011 it would be the first game so, eh.

well, if they're going to schedule 1-AA teams anyway, i always wondered why not mcneese or northwestern. but i still don't think we should be playing any 1-AA teams. there are plenty enough pitiful 1-A programs out there.

We get too wrapped up in this, I think. LSU plays West Virginia both years, which is a decent non-conf opponent. How different, really, is beating up on McNeese rather than ULL or LaTech?

Barring total collapse this year (I don't see it), we'll likely be a top 10 team preseason in 2010. And I think that's our year to make another run at the title. So I don't see how it hurts. We could use the break mid-SEC run. Get some reps in for the 2nd and 3rd teamers.

This is something that is never going to go away so we might as well get used to it. Not many OCC schools want to play here and not get a payback and LSU doesn't want to lose a home game during a payback year. Better to schedule an in-state school and keep the money at home.

precisely. however, i'd much rather play la tech. say what you will, but they're usually pretty competitive in their conference. remember fresno st. a few seasons back?

how hard would it be to get Duke. we have ties, Duke is getting much better, and we get the same result.

I kind of feel the same way.

Yes, but not nearly enough of them for all of the BCS teams to schedule them without a return visit.
