I believe that The Irish are in for a rude awakening this year. Their fans seem to think that Weis is the Second Coming, but this is his third year, he should have a team of his making. We'll se how he does this year and next and see if they regret that fat contract they gave him after one season.

I agree that this year could and probably will be a long one for them but CW's recruiting pretty well. Don't remember where they're class feel exactly but from what I recall, he's stocking up some talent.

This year's class: One 5 star and 10 fours. #3 in the Nation- though it's very early still.

They've always had some good talent, just they never could develop them. Especially on the defensive end, and Weiss is an offensive guy so i'm not sure its gonna happen anytime soon. He's gonna have to realize that you can't win without a defense...

The Irish have gotten noteriety over the past two years for beating up bad teams and getting beaten by the good ones. As more time goes by, and the more good teams they play, the more evident this trend becomes.

I know what your're talking about in relation to "Star ratings" going up after schools show interest but the same can be said of other schools too.

I think that was his point. That's why it isn't a perfect bearing of how any team will do on the field. The ability to coach the talent you have is a better indicator. Hell Yaw Yaw is a great recruiter.

unfortunately weis will turn them around. ive been impressed with what he's done, even if he's had trouble with the big boys. beating decent teams week-in and week-out aint easy. and dont forget the great usc team with leinhart and bush, etc just squeaked by und two yrs ago.
