I did not hear any profanity laced chants by the student section. Did anyone else? Does this mean our student section is getting it's act together and coming up with great chants for each game? I sure hope so.
Above are quotes on what the students chanted to Aubie players before the game. Great chants!!! :thumb:

Our students have the power and opportunity to become the best student section in College Football. Last night was testament to that. :geauxtige

Not even. They took away Touchdown Ditty, as you might recall because the students kept going "Ohhh weee ohhh... YOU SUCK!". Well, even though the band didn't play the song, they still managed to do the "OHHH WEEE OHHH... YOU SUCK!" part. After a couple minutes of this, the band had to start playing songs just to get them to shut up. I'm getting really ticked with my fellow students. Those kids just DO NOT GET IT.

They haven't gotten it completely together yet...but it is an improvement on other things I've heard. I just don't think its neccesary to attack a team after they've lost. Celebrate YOUR win...don't mock the other team.

I'm not that sensitive that it bothers me very much...and we were treated great by 98% of the LSU people we saw. But just to let yall know.
It is funny how much people change when they are in a large group vs. when they are acting individually or in a small group.

yeah, that's a little gay b/c it's florida's thing. i have NO PROBLEM AT ALL with them doing it against fla. but that's not even y'all' thing.

that's right there with when a fan does a chant or cheer from another school. like before the florida game i actually heard someone (an LSU fan) say "war eagle" to a florida fan cuz y'all just beat them. that's about the stupidest thing ever and if one of my friends ever did that they'd be put in their place or cut out.

btw aubie, i've only been to auburn once (the fire game) but AU for being such a rival of LSU they were the classiest fans i've run into. they have their share of jackholes but overall i think the LSU-AU rivalry is one of the most underrated in the country. glad it's a classy one for the most part.

I agree. That Arkansas "Boot" thing is getting old. I don't know why we created a prize for that game. We should have done one for the winner of the Auburn game.

Of all our rivalries over the years, lately the greatest has been Auburn. The bad blood, the high level of play, the fan animosity, the HITTING(even on the field)............it's all there.

Auburn does that chant too. They did it when the band was lined up for Pregame.

It is possible that it was an Auburn cheer first.
    Florida does "Gator Bait"

I think it's filtered down the Mississippi River. I swear I heard chants of 'Bull****' from the Saints crowd this past Sunday after a dubious call by the referee...

Don't think for a second that it's exclusive to LSU...
