    LSU women hammer Auburn (The Times)

    AUBURN, Ala. -- No. 3 LSU was unstoppable even when its shots weren't falling. Terrific scorers and an overwhelming defense can do that for a team. Sylvia Fowles scored 23 points, Seimone Augustus had 21 and the two led a strong defensive effort in LSU's 65-38 victory over Auburn on Wednesday night.

    Fowles, Augustus power LSU rout (Montgomery Advertiser)

    AUBURN -- Four LSU players scored against Auburn on Wednesday night. Only two were necessary. LSU center Sylvia Fowles and small forward Seimone Augustus combined to score 44 points, which was more than Auburn could manage in the Bayou Bengals' 65-38 win.
