1. Didn't see anything about this on ESPN.com. Any truth to this?

LSU turns in a “number of clips” to SEC offices for review
Coach Les Miles had a bone to pick with the officiating after Saturday’s 35-28 win over the Florida Gators. Miles took exception to some late hits on tailback Leonard Fournette during the game and has sent those plays to the SEC offices for review.

“We’ve turned in a number of clips,” Miles said according to USA Today’s Glenn Guilbeau.

Miles thought the hits Fournette took after the whistle merited a personal foul flag, but none of them were called. Miles said he always wants to keep his players safe.

“I want to protect my players,” Miles said according to NOLA.com’s Ron Higgins. “The driving back and falling in him (Fournette). At some point that’s a personal foul.”

Fournette has received plenty of attention from opposing defenses and that has translated into some shots after the play has ended. Many of the defenders probably grew tired of Fournette dishing out punishing hits of his own. Regardless, Miles doesn’t want his Heisman Trophy candidate getting hurt.

“I’m concerned for his well-being to a point, but it is football,” Miles said according to Higgins.
  2. Before this season is over I get the feeling we are gonna see LSU get fucked by the officiating or lack thereof. Refs in the SEC think they are important. And Les saying something makes me feel that there will be retaliation.

With Leonard, should he wear goggles like Walter Payton used to wear so no one can gouge his eyes? Florida has always done this and it doesn't surprise me at all that they did this past Saturday. Brandon Spikes was famous for that shit.

  3. A waste of time, unless it's Bama turning in the clips, the SEC office isn't interested.

  4. Maybe not he is the heisman favorite, and sec would like another trophy.
  5. Not when Derrick Henry is also in the line up.
  6. This had to be done. LF7 is getting mauled too many times after the whistle. If nothing else, hopefully it puts teams on notice not to do it. If so, will the crack SEC officials have the guts to throw a flag?
  7. There won't be any "retaliation" that's just crazy talk. Fournette is a golden goose right now. And Henry isn't winning shit. Fournette is the only chance for the SEC to get a Heisman this year. I believe they are going to have this cleaned up for the Bama game. Which is why Miles timing is great. Gives them plenty of time to watch, discuss, and adjust before the next LSU game.
  8. I still think it backfires. If I'm Miles I say nothing about forward progress and everything about them playing after the whistle and jabbing eyes and pulling on the face mask. But watch he is gonna break a tackle right before they blow the whistle now and it's gonna cost LSU.

  9. Easy to fix this. Grab a practice teamer off the bench, send him in and tell him to yank the nuts off of the last opponent player who did this to Fournette.
  10. That is how it works in hockey. Shit stops pretty quickly.
