or on Sunday. If you watched it, did any of you catch Saban going off on Lionel Turner? We've seen these tirades from Saban all year but I would rate that one probably the best yet. Thought he was going to explode. It happened in the 4th quarter right after Bama kicked it's field goal. Turner is coming off the field walking toward Muschamp, who is talking to Turner as he approaches the sideline. Saban is walking by, calmly. Just when Turner opens his mouth to say something to Muschamp, Saban just goes off, jumping up and down, pointing, screaming. It was classic. Turner had missed coverage on a receiver a few plays earlier that allowed Bama to get down by the goal-line. I assume that is what brought the wrath. Saban's rants are pretty good. I like Brady's too. ldskule: ldskule:
No, this was a play where Croyle got pressured from the outside. He stepped up like he was going to run but dumped the ball off in front of him (about 15 yards) to a receiver where Lionel was trailing (or beat) and the guy ran it down to the 5 or 10. The more I think about it I might be confusing this play with one that happened on the earlier drive where Bama didn't get any points. Regardless, Turner is the one who took the chewing.
I didn't see that but did anyone notice the situation when Addai fumbled and was moping off the field.. Saban met him at the 20.. began to talk to him unanimated and eventually led to a lashing by the 50 and continued to the bench when he kept moping... I was soooooo impressed that he got back in the game and had a 2nd chance.. Folks.. that is coaching and why we are where we are... Intensity on every down every play for 60 minutes. I love Nick Saban!!
Jack Hunt took some verbal missiles as well...He just walked off quicker...Check the replay... Hunt and Turner make the calls....
