Can one of you numbers gurus compare and contrast the two offenses statistically?

the numbers aren't really the tell, about the only thing you can really compare numbers wise is the game against a common opponent which would be West Virginia. Other than that, just look at Jarret Lee. That should be enough to prove that Crowton is a joke, and THE reason LSU's passing game sucked so bad the last 2 years. That crappy spread option dive garbage belongs in the Big East, or the ACC, unless you have Cam Newton or Tebow.

Maryland just changed QBs as well. Danny O'Brien, last years ACC Freshman of the Year is now on the bench in favor of CJ Brown who is more of a running QB. The fact that Crowton couldn't have success with last year's most promising offensive player in the ACC also speaks to his lackluster performance.

What's up with Maryland? Why Maryland?

Has it occurred to anyone .. that running QBs are not the answer??

If you can't pass the ball ... you will not win!!! Granted, if you are one dimensional pass, you will not win either ... but you have to have both a competent run and pass game to win NCs.

    Oh snap.

Thanks. I didn't even recall where he'd gone. Seriously.

Crowton's tenure at Maryland will be summed up in one game they had earlier this season. They put up a ridiculous number of yards, got in the red zone 7 times, and came away with 1 offensive TD.

I expect Danny O'brien to transfer to Vandy (James Franklin was the OC @ MD) after this season, as somebody said earlier they benched him after he looked promising as the ACC freshman of the year. Also I think the person who said they put up a bunch of yards and got to the redone 7 times with only 1 TD is thinking of another someone other then MD because I live in Maryland and have seen all their games and that is an uncorrected stat

Then you evidently missed the opener against Miami. 499 total yards, 6 trips inside the Miami 11, 1 offensive TD.
