Schmidt has settled down now. Hopefully LSU can put up some runs soon to get back in this game. Schmidt cannot afford to give up any more runs. Looks like LSU will have to take advantage of a UCLA error or 2 (if they make em). UCLA 2-0, bottom of the 3rd.
LSU finally has something going in the 4th inning......2 on nobody out LSU does not score in the 4th. But at least we made some noise. There is some hope now that LSU can get to this UCLA pitcher. UCLA 2-0 Top of the 5th
UCLA has runners on 2nd and 3rd with no one and LSU got out of the jam with no runs scoring. Maybe a sign that this game may go LSU's way afterall. The play at first base was pretty much a tie so LSU got lucky they called the runner out.
softball is fascinating in that you apparently can pitch the same person forever, all the time. thats weird.
Yeah I think this Schidmt girl must have pitched almost every game this year for LSU. I didn't know they could pitch that often. I remember when USL/ULL had those great teams and I just remember them having at least 3 good starting pitchers. So I was amazed to see Schmidt with a 36-5 record.
