This is a huge recruiting weekend - it's a who's who of recruits that are going to be at this game. LSU has had their eye on this game the whole year & we planned the recruits coming in for this game knowing it would be huge, but beyond that knowing that we would be prepared & will leave the field victorious.

Our scout team wore orange jerseys last week in preparation for Tulane. Coincidence? Our performance against Tulane means nothing. We got all we needed out of the game - a win. Our team will be prepared this week.

Pelini has studied Meyer's offense all off-season & believes he knows how to stop it. Also, our new OLine coach worked with Meyer and has helped Pelini to scheme against it.

Our offense will be better. Doucet will likely be back & Flynn will be closer to 100%. Our OLine will be back to the way it played against USC.

I just can't help but feel confident about this game.

As always CP, I enjoy your commentary.

Where do you get the Doucet will "likely" be back part?
And how effective do you see him being?

All fair points. I feel the same way. I can't help but think that we have been preparing for Florida all season long. I have no doubt that Pelini will have the D ready, my concern is on the offensive side of the ball. That being said I think the o will score enough points to win.

I agree. I think we win 36-6 or something like that.

Good news:thumb: I don't feel any overconfidence from any LSU fans. What I hear and feel is a HUGE hunger to dominate and beat Florida into the ground.
I think this is one of the big games of the year our team has been waiting for. Especially our defense. Saturday cannot get here fast enough. :D

I agree. As usual, I have no research or anything constructive on which to base my opinion but I'm feeling at least a 3 TD win. I'm callin it 38-10

Yep, me too. Largely because I think our defense is the real deal and relatively healthy with few if any weak areas. I also think the offense is about one game away from breaking out (ref: your OLine prediction).

Tulane won their bowl game this year when they lost the first half of the LSU game by only 1 point.

If we stay healthy, this game could be the launch pad for a rip through the SEC.

I was a little worried til I heard they don't have a D-Linemen over 280 lbs. I expect us to have 300 plus yrds of rushing on them.
