LSU should be only 50 points behind USC in rivals.com recruiting once they update the numbers with X man coming to LSU.

Herman Johnson will commit to LSU tomorrow, and he has an outside chance at a 5 star rating. His stock has climbed considerably and is now #30 in rivals.com rankings of all players. You need to get to #25 to become a 5 star player.

I still think we end up with 27-28 recruits. We have 22 now with Carter. Herman Johnson becomes #23. Jay Lucas is #24. There are at least 3 more out there that will commit.

I think 2 of them will be Tony Bell and Lavelle Hawkins.

Calvin Darity, Harry Coleman, DJ Hall, Pat White, Jae Thaxton or Brandon Braxton will round out the recruiting class.

USC has a good shot at a couple of 5 star receivers. Davis and Colvin.

I think Colvin will go to Michigan. Davis will go to Miami.

Sorry USC. Your well has run dry.

I think Colvin goes to Michigan, and Fred Davis is a Buckeye. Does anyone know if Linebackers Jae Thaxton or James Bryant is still looking hard at us??

Seems like if we sign 27-28 players than they would have to pick out which 25 to use or something since we cannot take more than 25.

One or two always fail to qualify academically. One or two might opt out to transfer. So it's always good to overcommit.

LSU has done this for the past 5 years (consistently 27-28 players).

All are expected to qualify this year though. At least from what I have seen.
