I can't believe the coaches' poll! http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/rankings?poll=2 1) Stanford 2) UNC -- come on, I'm a Tarheel alum and loved that they beat Duke 3 times this season, but ahead of LSU?!?! Please! (I still want to see the Ivory Latta / Temeka Johnson matchup in the NC game.) 3) Tennessee -- with 4 losses and a 2 point win over LSU (and a 10 point loss to LSU)?!?! Please! 4) Our Lady Tigers Also, there's an article about where we might end up for the 1st two rounds. Might be in Knoxville: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/news/story?id=2008741
Have you seen the women's regional locations? Tenn is just about a lock for CHATTANOOGA (which is logical i guess) but which means LSU is slated for either Tempe or Kansas City. How is that fair???
Stanford is the only good team in their conference. At least they've proven they're worthy. /end sarcasm A down SEC year is better than an up Pac 10 year any year.
One thing about these rankings is that this slap in the face has to be a serious motivating factor to the team!
I'm just hoping the committee looks at the entire body of work put up by LSU and seeds us the overall number one seed, thereby knocking UT out of the Knoxville bracket and leaving us closer to home as that is the way it is supposed to work.
That's the good thing about having a post season tourney to decide the NC in BB. Wish they had one in FB
They have a college football national championship game but your team has to be good enough to play in it.
It's always good to have a positive attitude and to put a positive spin on things, but the system was designed to favor the teams that kicked ass all year long. Motivation is great, but what the team deserves in the form of seeding and favorable travel distances is freaking owed to LSU.
