An enjoyable read. I always wondered who these kids were... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/sioncampus/05/02/lsu.superfans/index.html
They aren't very popular in the PMAC though... :hihi::hihi: They came in for either the very last game, or the Florida game and pretty much got booed out of the bottom section.
I agree. The LSU Batman has been a TV favorite for some time. Especially when they go on the road, the camera always gives them exposure. When I see students go so far with support like this, you know the school is doing well. Remember when people would go to away games dressing down the overt colors fearing a blowout, hoping they could sneak out in late 3rd quarter and quietly tuck into a restaurant?
I personally don't care for the costumes. Reminds me of seeing Raider fans wearing idiotic costumes in the stands at their games.
IMO, it doesn't take a few kids "Dressing up" to show our passion. They are no more passionate than the others in the student section/LSU seats. Always figured people in costumes at games were craving attn. Kinda irked me that they pass it down to a person of their choosing, in essence, giving a seat. At least they are LSU fans though.
They were kicked out because they showed up after the game had started and thought they would just walk into the lower section without needing to show up early.
