The massey Poll is one being used in the BCS formula. Check it out. www.masseyratings.com/rate.php?lg=cf
Am I the only one that finds it odd that South Florida and Colorado are in the TOP 15 in this poll? Perhaps they should readjust their formula...
Penn State vs. Bama...The media's love for this may rival the Weather Channels affection for hurricanes.
Everyone likes to blow out of proportion the odd rankings. It's just a matter of how they weigh strength of schedule vs. win-losses. At some point having a superior strength of schedule ranks you higher than someone with one less loss. By the end of the season (when South Florida's SOS evens out) those other teams will pass them. This is MUCH better than the human polls where once you are ahead of someone you can never be caught without losing.

nope. i think USF is 31, UC is 23 and ND is 10. the heading of the far right column is "massey". i think the order of the listing is based on where the computer predicts a team to finish the season based on its schedule.
Actually, what's going on is the way they are ordered are the Massey BCS Rankings. These are the ones that are not allowed to take into consideration Margin of Victory. The one on the right is Massey's normal computer ranking for the team. This is the one that can consider margin of victory as a factor. They are usually a lot more indicative of where a teams real 'power ranking' should be.
Colorado hasn't looked bad this season and S Florida blew out Louisville, a team who regularly blows out their opponents, which makes S Florida's stats look good.
