Matt Flynn gets some ESPN LOVE

I just saw a nice piece from Kirk Herbstreit on ESPN talking about who will replace JR at QB for LSU. He basically said he watched Matt Flynn at Spring practice and was very impressed with his skill and feels the Tigers will not experience a let down after JR. He also said MF will surprise a lot of people next year and LSU will be a serious NC contender again this year.

If Troy Smith can win the Heisman at OSU I see no reason why MF can't step in and be a top 4 college QB next year for LSU. Is Matt not the Orange Bowl MVP from 2005? With this being CLM's 3rd year I'm expecting a much faster take off this year for our Tigers.

Orange, Peach...ehh same difference, they're all fruit anyways. I like Flynn too, I think he is a more physically gifted Matt Mauck type guy, and hopefully he can manage the game the same way Mauck did. He's got a quick release and is a better runner than JR was so he adds a new dimension to the offense. I really just can't wait for the season to start...

I've seen Matt's myspace; he has some pretty hot women on his "friends" list.

He seems like a cool guy; have any of you guys met him?

 

If you folks get/have a chance, go back and watch the MSU game with a focus on Flynn. Once he got thru the first 7 or so attempts, he played like he'd been starting for 3 years. I bet he ends the season as a surprise pick on top college QB lists.

 

FLynn is going to raise his draft stock considerably unless he gets hurt.

 

Yeah I am surprised at the amount of positive atention he gets from the national sport media. I don't know that it is justified but I hope he proves them right.
