Flynn will start in place of Rodgers this weekend because of the concussion Rodgers suffered. I hate that Rodgers had to be injured for this to happen! Good luck Matt!!!! Saw this on the scroll at bottom of screen on ESPN.
hell of a hurdle for your first NFL start. Hopefully he can do well, like Rodgers did when Favre was hurt a few years ago in the Dallas game. That was Rodgers coming out party. Maybe Matt can do enough so other teams might want to get him in a trade and make him their man. I do know this, Matt Flynn is starting Sunday and Jamarcus is going to be watching at home.
you know this is a tough situation for Flynn. The Packers have zero running game, they pretty much rely solely on Aaron Rodgers. ESPN has been murdering him, but he was 15-26 for 177 and an int. He hasn't played since when?? He gets how many reps with the first team?? Let's see how he does this week now that he saw some action, and got to work with the first team all week. I'm pulling for him, because we need a quarterback to succeed in the NFL, it's been a long time, and frankly I can't think of a better guy.
I watched the half he played last week. His arm seemed a little weak. He sort of just lofted the ball towards the receivers most of which fell a little short or a yard wide. He had that one pick in the endzone as well on one of their few drives.
That and just about half of our team has injuries, we got hit hard with the injury bug this year. Hopefully Flynn can show up a lot of people, who is doubting him.
