Quoted off one of the little piggie boards:

Q: Matt, what is it going to take to do better in the bowl game?

A: "Our next game ain't gonna be against LSU, so that will help right there."

Hard to argue with that one.

Matt Jones-the epitome of a "sandlot football player".

Has anyone ever seen someone get by with more talent, with less discipline? This guy is amazing...

Matt Jones is an incredible athlete who should have went somewhere where he could play tight end for 4 years. He is 6-6 and runs a sub 4.3 forty. He would probably be coming out this year in the draft as a first round draft choice.

I guess he wanted to play QB, but he should have used his head like Marcus Spears did (TE to DE), switched positions, and went for the money.

I haven't heard anywhere that he would be a first rounder? Is he really? I would think he would need a better arm to go in the first round? Maybe I am wrong?

Not as a QB. I meant if he was playing tight end he would probably be a high draft choice. He is sub-4.4 BTW, not 4.3. That is still plenty fast for someone 6-6 and 235 pounds.

Yesterday at the game the thought occured to me that Matt Jones looked to be about the same size as Jemarcus Russel. They look the same on the field. Although I don't know if Russel is that fast.

Russell isn't that fast, but is a much, much better passer and pocket quaterback....
