Man I remember being so excited to get him thought he'd crush it in both sports. Forgot his dad turned down 1.8 million, which looks like a pretty tough decision right now. They certainly are looking out for him and the education is huge, but I guess Mo didn't forsee us bringing in so much outfield talent. Really wish he'd stick around in baseball only to see if he can develop but it sounds like he's leaving cause of Paul..

Teka Hampton (mom) Tweeted these before deleting the tweets, basically saying Mo never told Paul he was quitting football:

“He never said he was not going to play football anymore. That's a blatant lie. Smh. We met with him. When he says behind it was not talent wise. He said behind meant in depth because he was at football in the fall. But that was not what Paul Mainieri said in recruiting.”

“He was promised that he would have plenty of opportunity. Now it's we're not sure when you'll get an opportunity. Coach O never lied to him, he has been stellar.”

  2. Oh I didn't forget, in fact I was hoping he would turn it down because like you I wanted him to crush it in both sports with hopes that he would get a bigger payout after proving himself. Its all sort of sad actually.

  3. If you get offered $1.8 million take the money a d run. Even if you never make the bigs that amount of money invested would produce a very nice yearly income forever. You could live comfortably on half the dividend and reinvest the other half. In 20 years you would be very wealthy.
  4. Totally agree for a schmuck like me. For someone with real talent i can see and understand them saying "im worth more"

Turns out he should have taken it.

If they ever make beer drinking a professional sport im gonna make Fernando Tatis Jr type money

  9. How many bottles/cans do you drink say after work during the week?
  10. Depends, I drink almost exclusively 16oz cans. I might have one, I might have none. Its not out of the question for me to have 8-12 and there have been times when I've drank more. Those next mornings are rough at 51 but I can do it depending on the situation.
