http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/stories/091906dnspoouprez.20f524bd.html OU gets an apology, refs get a suspension. Not that it changes the outcome of the game, but it is still classy of the PAC 10 to admit their mistake - something the SEC will never do.
Hi everyone. New to the forums and I'm seeing some great discussions here. A quick observation: Let's say for the sake of argument that the ball was tipped before Early was wrapped up (even though video says otherwise). Then the call on the field would have been correct and there would have been no PI. But it was also very slick on the part of the SEC not to acknowledge the fact that a DB draped over Doucet's left leg/arm and right leg is ironclad defensive holding.
PAC-10 suspends officials for one game... Too bad it was not about the bad calls in the LSU Auburn game. Pac-10 suspends officials one game Review reveals refs made errors in Oregon win over Oklahoma http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14895292/
Re: PAC-10 suspends officials for one game... Mods thank you for moving this. I did not see this thread.
It is over. Game is over. Bad calls will not get reversed, and the game outcome will never change because of officiating. I have seen a lot of bad calls, but usually they are bad both ways. Once in a while a bad call changes a game. BUT, with at least 8 bad calls, and all in only one teams favor, well you do the math. Anyway, this is over. Should have been just dominate enough that it didn't matter, but we played a good team. By the way, I am not defending, just too PO'd to want to discuss it anymore.
Big woop.....a one week suspension. That whole crew should be gone for good! The Pac 10 probably told those guys to sway the game in Oregon's favor in the first place. I guess when you suck as bad as they do you'll do anything to save face.
