LSU sophomore baseball player walks away with just cuts after huge accident.

"I had just taken a drink from my water bottle and was putting it back into my cup holder when I bumped my stick shift," he said. "I'm not sure whether I just knocked it into neutral or reverse, but when I tried to get it back into drive I found my Jeep was heading toward the median. I remember it flipping, but after that I don't remember too much."

good lord i hadnt seen anything about that on the advocate or anything...very thankful the young man is ok.

Update:

"I was wearing my seatbelt. If I hadn't been, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you. My vehicle flipped about five times. That's what some of the people who stopped told me. And it's funny because I don't always wear my seatbelt." McGhee did not put his seatbelt on until he was crossing the Mississippi River Bridge on I-10.

"It was funny. I remember thinking, 'These are the most comfortable seatbelts I've ever put on.' I still don't know how it happened.

McGhee has not gotten a new vehicle yet.

"I don't think I'm going to be getting a new car for awhile," he said. "I don't really feel like driving."
