What strikes me about this list... If you notice, there are only two combinations with the QB and WR; both cases from the state of Kentucky with Louisville and UK. Good combination for Michigan if Jake Long (#2-OT) is covering the QB's (Chad Henne #11) blind side. Kiper has a lot of faith in the LB corps at USC, doesn't he? I guess the same could be said for their entire D...
Not convinced our D Line is better than LSU's but our LB unit is as solid as it's ever been. Cushing and Maualuga are juniors (obviously undeclared at this point) so they don't make the list but easily could by season's end.
I left the same to Terry in a message. :hihi: Couldn't believe they left BC off that list.........boy belongs in the SEC- preferably LSU. Maualuga?? Is that Rey Rey? Seems like he gets more "Air time"......is he the more popular of the two?
Yes, that's Rey Rey. And he probably gets more air time for a few reasons. He is unusual in his looks..........hair, tats, and size. He's intimidating to say the least. He's always been a sentimental favorite because of what happened with his dad. Cushing is a Jersey boy. He's all about hard work and attitude. Earlier this year I was at Disneyland for the Rose Bowl stuff and was sitting on a bench with Cushing, Thomas Williams, and Clay Matthews. I asked Cushing if he was having fun. He looked at me and matter of factly said, "no". OoooooK. LMAO. Oops, forgot to mention one other reason about Cushing. Most of last year we played a modified 3-4 with Cush as the elephant. It did nothing to maximize his abilities or stats. Either way, can you imagine the matchups in January if LSU and USC play? Our O Line against your D Line trying to get to homeboy JD Booty. Your speedy receivers and our LB's? Can't wait.
He doesn't include juniors unless they've already declared for the draft which would be highly unlikely for any of them to have done so this early. I suspect this list will change up considerably by the middle and end of the year.
