1. Newman to LSU is gaining even more steam...Jerry Meyer who is considered the top basketball recruiting analysis at 247 is saying Newman is leaning towards LSU! The rumor is (take it with a grain of salt)Kentucky wants him to play shooting guard and he has his mind set on playing point guard in college Kentucky already has Three 5 star pg's on their roster...plus Ben & Blakeney have been putting in work!

  2. I'm not big into linking kid twitter page but Monday Blakeney tweeted the he had been talking to Newman & was trying to get Tiger fans to send him a tweet & let him know how much he's needed next season!
  3. I don't know much about much but just with these three guys, if we get them, we have to be final four contenders.

  4. I really hope Martin and Mickey return. That would solidify things barring injury of being a real threat for the Final Four and title. Hey, we'd have a chance to win the SEC Tournament, too. :D

  8. Hi all,
I apologize for my English, but I'm an Italian guy who is studying to improve ...

By any way, with Jarell Martin who declares for the next NBA DRAFT (late first round); and Jordan Mickey who took time to think about (end-date should be on 26, April); by your opinion, LSU is not likely too weak in the paint for the next season?

This would be a shame, because the talent in other roles (point guard; guard; forward) is just remarkable with Gray, Patterson, Hornsby, Quaterman, and now Blakeney, Simmons...

But right now, without Martin and (maybe) Mickey, I see LSU enter in the top 10-15 spot, not in the top 1-5 spot; as it could be if it added some interesting center...

Or Jones believes in the explosion of one or two between Craig Victor (transfer from Arizona), Aaron Epps, Elbert Robinson, Darcy Malone for the next season?

Actually, the team is this, if I'm not mistaken:

    *** STARTING FIVE ***
    5 Josh Gray G 6-1 182 SR 1993
    4 Keith Hornsby G 6-4 210 SR 1992
    55 Tim Quarterman G 6-6 187 JR 1994
    XX Ben Simmons F 6-9 225 FR 1996
    25 Jordan Mickey F 6-8 235 JR 1994 ???? NBA DRAFT

    *** BENCH ***
    15 Jalyn Patterson G 6-0 173 SO 1995
    XX Antonio Blakeney G 6-4 170 FR 1996
    20 Brian Bridgewater F 6-4 265 JR 1993
    21 Aaron Epps F 6-9 203 SO 1996
    XX Craig Victor F 6-7 205 SO 1995
    22 Darcy Malone C 7-0 245 JR 1995
    3 Elbert Robinson III C 7-1 301 SO 1994

    *** FILLER ***
    10 Henry Shortess G 5-9 156 JR 1995
    24 Carlton Speight G 6-4 200 SO 1996
    45 Brandon Eddlestone F 6-8 245 JR 1995

    COACH Johnny Jones

I repeat: from my humble point of view, this team could even get to the Sweet 16, but hardly would reach the Final Four, I hope I am wrong because I'm a big fan of the future star Ben Simmons ...
