Some postings from a fellow War Eagle who is deployed and assisting. Not fun reading. I will be headed to Jackosn MS in about two hours. I am incharge of uplink for satellite communications. We will move into NO after the storm has passed. This is bad, I hope all the news ends up being half as bad as it is sounding. I fear for the worst and am praying for the best. One thing I am really in fear of, that is the people that are being put into the Dome and the people trying to get out of town, I hope none get caught in their cars and trucks when this monster comes ashore. I will keep you all informed. God help all of those in the path. My friends, I have seen the depths of hell! This looks likes an H-Bomb has hit. Video cannot do show how bad this is. I have been to sites of F5 tornadoes (one in Birmingham a few years ago) This is a nightmare. I cannot describe what I saw. God, i feel for all these people, they have no where to go, no jobs....nothing. I mean nothing. I have seen houses that were once the peach of the state of MS destroyed to the foundation. My wife and I was just down here on July 27th. Its as though the place was nuked. I was in a National Guard Hum V, We are trying to find sites for portable communications. Prob is most of the Guard units that deal with this are in Iraq, but not to fear AL has some. I am sick to my stomach, I along with Private First Class Tanner and two others were in shock. Oh, the people, the people .... its just nothing I can say. What does make me mad is seeing the thugs that are stealing anything and everything. I expect that marshall law will be imposed very soon. Meaning the use of physical force if needed. Seems that they want everyone out of town and they will have no choice. Also plans are being made to construct holding camps to house the people. NO will be a lake, they now fear that the pressure on both sides of the levee in some areas are going to cause more breakage. Pumping stations are now failing. its only gonna get worse. national Guard units from other states will be incoming soon.
