those boyz are just resting. i figure when your lead is totally out of reach for anyone in the division, there is not much reason to worry about winning. only one team has a better record than the metropolitans, detroit. but their lead is around 6.5. the mets lead is twice that. its like pre-season for the mets. mets have done nothing but demolish the national league since opening day, and have never been anywhere except first place.
Yah, like the NL is great shakes these days... The West is a pit, the Cards aren't scaring ANYBODY (sorry 99), and the Metros are running away in the East... The WS champ will come from the AL again this year.

red dots for everyone involved in this travesty of a thread. 1. pedro is just joking. he wants a rest and cant be bothered to pitch meaningless games in the heat of august. 2. lo duca is red hot and has been since the break. he laughs at cover stories in the ny post and goes 3 for 4 in response. 3. a tolerant clubhouse is good for team chemistry, the mets strength is in their diversity. good teams always have gays. yunno chad lavalais is gay. thats why he worked at a prison.
1. I have La Puka on my fantasy team, and since his "news" came out he has sucked donkey pronk bars 2. Lavalais? I would have believed you more if you said Skylar or Mauck.
