They would love to see a Michigan-LSU match-up... however, one of the guys says the SEC is an overrated conference. http://umgoblue.com/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11386
Michigan is 76th in the country in pass defense? JR's gonna like watching the film on these guys...very nice!
Now all we need is the correct play calling to take advantage of said deficiency. I hope Jimbo picks up a tape of the Saints offense. Would be a great reference for how to attack the opposing defense of Michigan.
All the other conference thinks the SEC is overrated - cuz they're all jealous. When they compare their conference - they always compare themselves to the SEC. That's why I think the media tries so hard to make the other conferences look better than they are.:dis:
Ill never understand how the SEC can be overrated? South Carolina and Georgia, middle to lower level tier SEC teams went and beat two upper level ACC teams! I agree its jealousy. Lately a lot of announcers are downplaying the SEC as well. Herbstreit especially. People only see the records of teams, but every week in the SEC you have to be up. No way would Ohio St be unbeaten if they played in the SEC.
Let's face it, yanks and west coasters tend to look down on us. I have lived out here for years, you wouldn't believe the vile spewed about the entire south, us (New Orleans in my case) included. Out here, it is particularly bad in the pacific northwest. At any rate, **** all these bastards with a rake. The SEC is the best football conference in America, and the ACC is probably the best basketball conference. The end. Just admit it and move on. How complicated is that? Inferiority complexes are a bitch, man.
I think its a pathetic joke and just bias. Last night on ESPN they said the computers really like USC because the computers see the Pac 10 as the strongest conference. Ill give them their due, they have some good teams, but they are nowhere near in the same league as the SEC.
