"Among the early names that have surfaced are: Mullen High School coach Dave Logan, Arkansas coach Houston Nutt, LSU coach Les Miles and UCLA assistant Jon Embree. Broncos offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak, who briefly accepted the CU job in the last search and then backed out, opening the door for Barnett, declined to comment on the opening Thursday."

I wonder if Miles would take an interview or whether he would immediately take his name out of the running. He's got to be careful with this situation because LSU fans will have a hard time forgiving him for going there for an interview after what many consider a not so hot first season here.

I know you are constantly looking at my posts trying to find something you disagree with but maybe from now on you should read them. I said "what many consider a not so hot season." I am not one of those people.

    Queston....
How many D-I coaches have left after only one season, for another school that at some would consider inferior to the one he's leaving?

WhileI believe it would be ludicrous for Miles to leave LSU for Colorado, I'll say this. Miles still has very, very strong ties to former Colorado coach Bill McCartney. The former coach, who is running the group Promise Keepers, has been a guest of Miles in his booth at Tiger Stadium during the Auburn game. Now, will CU continue the trend of hiring former McCartney assistants? I don't know, but having Miles mentioned for this job is not as far-fetched as some might think.

I have no idea, closest thing I could recall would be Franchione leaving Alabama for aTm after only 2 seasons.

With Miles' success comes rumors of his name surfacing for jobs. Miles isn't leaving LSU for Colorado.

Maybe this is a list of people that CU would love to interview, not the list of people that are interested. I just don't see Miles being interested in CU.

I would hope not. What makes you think that my comment wasn't directed at the so called "many" people? Don't get your panties in a wad if you are not one of them.
