I realize the selection order is already obsolete but it's something to look at. They have two Tigers going in the first round: LeRon Landry at #22 to New England and Wroten at #28 to the Giants. http://www.nflfans.com/x/mock2.php
I think Landry's coming back his senior season. He didn't have as stellar of a season as he's had in the past. Wroten will go early, but I've also heard that Kyle Williams will go in the 1st round. Addai was slated to go in the 3rd round, but with his strong performance in the Peach Bowl and maybe another in the senior bowl, I see him maybe going in the 2nd. Don't forget Ronnie Prude. I've liked him since the beginning. I think he'll get over looked though, much like Travis Daniels and Randal Gay did. Anyone remember Demetrius Hookfin, aka 'The Human Torched'? Just curios?
I don't see the Giants taking a DL. They have great talent there already unless they have no 2nd string. They have Strahan and the goofy named guy which I won't even attempt to spell. I hope Landry comes back but when you are slated in the 1st round as a DB it is hard to pass that up and risk it next year in college. I think Addai would be a great back in the NFL. He is a work horse and never gives up on a play and is a great blocker. I think he is under rated greatly.
I would like to say Landry return, but 1st round is hard to pass. I'm sure he could improve his stock, but he could also get hurt; I'd imagine its hard to take chances with big money like that. I wish Addai luck, and I've really enjoyed his stay at LSU, but I see him struggling to be an every down back. Domminick Davis and he are similar, and hasn't Davis struggled this season? He was Rookie of the Year, right?
Davis stats: 1031 yards-2003 1188 yards-2004 976 yards-2005. He had knee surgery before the last game.
he missed the last 3 games with that injury. 47 catches for 351 yards 68 catches for 588 yards 39 catches for 337 yards as well. they will be taking the same type of RB they already have and just gave a contract too.
Landry should be gone. Safeties typically dont go that high, and he is unlikely to improve significantly in his draft stock if he stays. If he goes, he will be a late 1st early 2nd round pick. Addai is a real wild card. IMO with a good senior bowl and combine he could be a late 1st given his versatility. If he stays about where he is projected he will go in the 3rd or 4th. Williams looks 3rd or 4th to me as well.
From the different mock drafts I've looked at, there could be up to 4 Tigers in the first round... Williams, Wroten, Landry, and Whitworth have all made appearances. Expect Addai to go early second round if he has a strong combine (which he should).
