http://espn.go.com/ncb/weeklywatch/player.html Andky Katz supporting players of the week on his weekly watch BRANDON BASS, LSU: Bass outplayed reigning SEC player of the Lawrence Roberts, notching 26 and 11 compared to Roberts' 15 and 12, in LSU's seven-point win over Mississippi State. Bass was rock solid against Ole Miss with 14 points and 11 boards earlier asd LSU swept the Mississippi schools. LSU has won five of its last six games to get back into NCAA discussion. Also Bass was named Sec player of the week http://www.lsusports.net/cached/featurestory.html?1107229321389 LSU goes on the road this week to UGA & UT although LSU is winless on the road so far this year this a big time oppurtunity for LSU to propel itself into the tournament. I see at least a split this week and think a sweep is very possible. Add that with Auburn coming here next wed. LSU has a very good chance to be 6-3 or 7-2 in the SEC before the difficult part of the schedule arrives. We have two huge home games remaining against Bama & UF that would be great resume builders. I see this team finishing 10-6 in the SEC and getting anywhere from a 6-10 seed in the big dance.
And here is a link to last nights sports segment on WAFB that has a lot of LSU stuff on it including Bass, Stro, Pistol, Jackson, LaFell, Campo. Sometimes I forget how much LSU dominates Sport News in LA living out of state like I do. Man I miss that. These guys in Jawja just won't give me my LSU fix for some reason!!! :geaux:  WAFB The first option on Featured Video's from 1/31/05.
here's the problem: 10-6 in sec and our record is 17-10 which is a stretch to get in the tourney. with that record you often need some big wins, so wins against bama or uf may be necesssary. the real bummer may be that, just like last year, if we finish 10-6 and 17-10 and second in sec west we get a bye in sec tourney so no easy win. i think we'd still get in but as a 10-12 seed. its easy to say 10-6 but that would be a lot of road wins. woops, quoted wrong post
