A revised look at the 2007 pre-season rankings from ESPN. USuCk #1 (no surprise) but the Tigers #10, Arkansas #12 and bama #25 are all so wrong for so many different reasons. In all, the SEC has only 2 teams in the top 10 (Florida #8 and the Tigers). Read it for yourself: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/colum...k&id=2738142&campaign=rss&source=NCFHeadlines :geauxtige
Just further proof for my pet theory that the majority of human beings are, in actual fact, morons. I'm suprised we don't get into more trouble than we do........I can't wait to see what the next genius tries to do.....probably "bring democracy to the Middle East" or something!! sorry, couldn't resist :geauxtige
To tell you the truth, Im not very surprised with the ranking. I guessed we would be ranked 6th, but the guy is a moron because he has only 2 SEC teams in the top 10, and not evn the top 5. Why I think LSU should be ranked 6th is because we lost the depth on our team. The QB is gone, 2 of the 3 WR are gone and both safeties are gone. And as we all know, those positions decide the outcomes of games. So LSU has a lot to prove next season, and its good we'll be playing VT (I think a top 15 by then) early in the season.
Well, he had us ranked 13th after the UF game, so this is a little better. I can't believe he called the hiring of Crowton a "coup". That tells you what conference this douche roots for.
This guy's a flake. He contradicts himself repeatedly. He seems to place more importance on players and not enough on coaches. He talks of UL's QB returning as why he's got them rated that high, and then about how losing JR will be so detrimental to us. He then keeps Arkansas right up there with their players leaving in droves and their whole program in shambles. At least he acknowledges that LSU and UF will reload personnel. But he should then consider that our two coaches are still here, and will not skip a beat next year. Noticed that he kept Cal right up there even though they lost their best player. Oklahoma has no QB, and lost Adrian Peterson, but there they too are right up there. He should know that in college football, the COACH is what determines the success of the program.
 I just noticed he had Oklahoma in his top 10!!! The guy realizes they were humiliated by Boise State WITH Adrian Peterson?
Dude, maybe you don't undersand how nasty LSU's defense is going to be next season. Let me give you an example of what it might look like: DT Glen Dorsey Marlon Favorite and Charles Alexander DE Tyson Jackson Ricky-Jean Francois (my best guess) OLB Ali Highsmith MLB Luke Sanders - Jacob Cutrera OLB Darry Beckwith CB Jonathon Zenon FS Curtis Taylor SS Craig Steltz NB Danny McCray Offensively Perilloux and Flynn will take the offense and run with it. Keiland Williams will be the 2nd best stud RB in the SEC (next to McFadden), Dickson will have a year under his belt, Early is ready to rock, our new OC is ready to rock, we may still get more superstuds like Joe McKnight, all of our tough games are at home and we have the best defense, quite possibly, in college football. I understand being cautious and thinking that losing JR will hurt the team, but trust me...LSU football will be a MAJOR force to be reckoned with this coming season. I'm not saying this as an LSU fan, but as a football fan. I like LSU's chances to compete for the National Championship in 2007. Geaux MF'ing Tigers!:usaflagwa
