Bertman said he can not rule out that HE will be the next LSU head coach... HUMM... me likes what me hears!
of course I would love to see bertman return, but comeon, how old is he now? If he could coach a 1-3 yrs and get the program back on track then find someone GOOD to come in and take over...
Why would you like hearing that? What does he tell a recruit, I'll be there a year or two and then who knows who your coach will be? Better to find a quality coach that can lead the Tigers for more years than Skip would be around.
all he has to tell a recruit is hey I am freaking skip bertman....I have a pretty good track record....
I'd love to have Skip back but he would only be a temporary patch if we could not get someone big right now. He's up there in years and as stated above, could only give a couple years. Besides, I like him at the AD position for now.
I don't think Skip would jeopardize his chance to enter the College Baseball Hall of Fame in its inaugural ceremonies. The Hall has said that no one currently coaching can be inducted. He hasn't been inducted yet.
Anyone who would not like Skip back is crazy. Who could do a better job turnin the program around than him? This would be the best thing tiger baseball fans can hope for
